On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, students in grades K – 8 at our school will be taking part in The Terry Fox National School Run Day (rain date: Thursday, September 29, 2021). All students will be walking outside in order to raise awareness for Cancer Research. Grades 4-8 will be walking around the community and Kindergarten – Grade 3 will be walking on school property. Please make sure your child is in proper footwear. The students will be supervised by their teacher to ensure their safety.
Our school is proud to play an important role in keeping the legacy of Terry Fox going. This marks the 42nd anniversary of the Terry Fox Walk Fundraiser. Students will have the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the heroic efforts of Terry over the next few weeks as well as raise much-needed funds for cancer research. Through our participation in the Terry Fox School Run, we hope to encourage leadership in our students and create positive agents of change in our wonderful school community.
Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated and donations of $20.00 or more automatically receive a receipt. All donations are to be made online or you can fill out the donation form and bring cash or a cheque made to The Terry Fox Foundation. Please send in all donations by Friday, September 30th, 2022.
All monies raised will be forwarded to The Terry Fox Foundation and 82 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to cancer research!
