I hope that you are having a safe and enjoyable summer. As we approach mid-August, our Board continues to work with York Region Public Health, using the provincial guidance documents, to prepare for safe learning and working environments. We look forward to welcoming back students to in-person learning in September.
On July 26, families received an individualized email with information about an online form to choose either face-to-face in-person learning or virtual learning for their children for the 2021-2022 school year. This is a gentle reminder that the learning model selection form will close on Monday, August 16 at 6:00p.m.
Students who are returning to in-person learning do not need to complete the form. If your child is returning to face-to-face learning, there is no action needed on your part.
If you did not receive an email with the learning model form, there are separate forms for elementary and secondary school students:
We know you may have questions regarding the 2021-2022 school year, including switching between models. We will continue to update a Frequently Asked Questions page on the Board’s website. We will also share additional information with you as it becomes available from the Minister of Education or York Region Public Health.
Once again, thank you for your ongoing support of public education.
